Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia Newcastle - Australia (Indonesian-Australian Student Society Newcastle)
PPIA Newcastle
PPIA (Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia-Australia or Indonesian-Australian Student Society) is an Indonesian student organization of Newcastle University, Australia. The members are mostly Indonesian Student and community, but anybody including Australian who wants to make friends and know Indonesian culture are welcomed to join.

Our club promotes Indonesian socio-cultural heritage, and promotes friendship through many activities. Most activities are social functions such as welcoming for new student and farewell for just graduated student, BBQ, and Indonesian Independence celebration.

PPIA-NC is actively involved in many activities run by University such as Cultural Awakening, and United Games. We also hold many social functions such as gathering for new student, BBQ, seminars, sport-for-fun and Indonesian Independence celebration.

    Australia Day 2008
    PPIA Newcastle dan Indonesian Community sekali lagi berpartisipasi di Australia Day, 2008. Bertempat di Foreshore Newcastle, makanan Indonesia di jual bersaing dengan makanan ethnik lain dari India, Philipina, Macedonia, dll. Selain itu teman-teman dari Indonesian Community ikut berpartisipasi di panggung budaya dengan tari Kipasnya. Sementara itu teman-teman dari PPIA Newcastle beraksi dengan tari Saman. Para penari terdiri dari mahasiswa Newcastle, juga termasuk keluarga. Turut hadir dalam acara ini rombongan dari Sydney yang dipimpin oleh Pak Konjen.
